Through the Meeting Community Needs initiative, ASAE is committed to making a lasting impact in its Annual Meeting host cities. Building on this momentum, funds will be raised through the 5K Fun Run/Walk and Tours for the Tourism Tomorrow Scholarship and Grant Program. This program is Visit Indy’s comprehensive workforce development initiative focused on strengthening the future of Indianapolis’ tourism industry.
The program includes three distinct tracks:
Academic Excellence Scholarships supporting tuition and educational expenses for students pursuing tourism-related careers
Professional Access Grants providing funding for students and early-career professionals to attend industry conferences and events
Certification Grants supporting classroom-based and early-career access to industry-recognized credentials
Together, these investments remove barriers, expand opportunity, and support long-term career growth across the tourism and hospitality ecosystem.
Additionally, we invite attendees to make a meaningful impact while you’re in Indy. One of the tour options is Indy Gives Back: Pack with Purpose where attendees will join together with Teachers’ Treasures, a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring students and teachers across Marion County have access to free, essential classroom supplies. During this hands-on experience, you’ll roll up your sleeves at their storefront warehouse to assemble hygiene kits that directly support local students in need.
This service opportunity not only strengthens Indy classrooms—it also reflects ASAE’s Talent Readiness strategic pillar by supporting the educators who shape the workforce of tomorrow. By helping ensure students and teachers have the resources they need to thrive, you’re contributing to a stronger, more equitable talent pipeline for the future.
